How Did it All Begin?

A Princess Closet was founded in 2012. It began with a simple idea of throwing an event to give away prom dresses to young ladies whose parents may not have the finances to accommodate their child going to prom.

 

For something so small, it turned out to become a great hit & thus it has been an ongoing success for the past 3 years and going. Who would have known that an idea of doing something wonderful for the communities would turn out to what it is today. A Princess Closet is a non-profit benefit for the surrounding areas of Gaston county, Lincoln county, Mecklenburg County and all areas in and far between. We are open once a year typically the last week of March or the first week of April of every year, right before prom season. 

 

We accept donations of any type of formal wear, this includes: Jewelry, Clutches, Gently used evening gowns, Cosmetics, Shoes, and any other formal appropriate attire/accessories for prom occassions.
